Luther College has named Rose Baldwin its new associate director of programming and outreach, putting her in charge of the box office and event operations at the Center for Faith and Life in Decorah.
The appointment was announced Aug. 4, 2026, by Luther Vice President of Communication Bill Smith. Baldwin’s first day on campus was July 27, giving her a role in the college’s programming operations ahead of the coming Center Stage Series season, Homecoming and Family Weekend.
What Baldwin will oversee
As associate director, Baldwin will serve as box office manager and oversee operations during shows and special events. Her work will place her in regular contact with Luther community members, visitors and season-ticket holders attending performances at the Center for Faith and Life.
Smith said Baldwin is expected to become a familiar presence for people attending Center Stage Series events and major campus weekends. The college’s announcement described her responsibilities as combining customer service, event coordination and day-to-day box office management.
“Rose brings a positive energy and a commitment to outstanding customer service in the Center for Faith and Life. In the coming weeks, we’re looking forward to our Luther community, both on and off campus, meeting and working with Rose. She’ll soon be a familiar face for Center Stage Series season subscribers and those attending Homecoming and Family Weekend,” Smith said.

Baldwin’s education and music background
Baldwin joins Luther after teaching middle and high school choir at the Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, she worked to increase participation and retention in the choral program, significantly increased enrollment and built engagement within the school community.
During Baldwin’s time at Lovett, the choirs took part in adjudicated performances for the first time in more than a decade and consistently earned sweepstakes ratings, according to Luther’s announcement.
Earlier in her career, Baldwin served as associate director of choirs at Burnett Junior High School in Wylie, Texas. That program served more than 450 students. She also taught elementary music in Lindsay, Texas.
Baldwin graduated summa cum laude from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in music education.
Transition and ticket information
Baldwin succeeds Bradley Phillips, Luther’s former assistant director for programming and outreach. Phillips is scheduled to retire at the end of August after 37 years of service.
