Families can get an up-close look at the vehicles that help keep Decorah moving during Touch A Truck, a free open house scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at Decorah City Hall.
The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and does not require registration. Visitors can simply show up and explore police, fire and emergency vehicles, along with construction equipment and city maintenance vehicles.
Family event during Fire Prevention Week
Decorah Parks & Recreation is co-hosting the event with the Decorah Fire Department in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week. Organizers describe it as an event for the whole family.
A free hot dog lunch will also be available during the open house.
