Decorah families will have a chance to climb into and explore police, fire, emergency, construction and city maintenance vehicles during a free Touch a Truck open house on Saturday, October 10.
The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is designed as a family activity. No registration is required; attendees can simply show up.
What families can expect
Children will be able to get an up-close look at a range of vehicles, including emergency vehicles and construction equipment. A free hot dog lunch will also be available.
The open house is co-hosted by Decorah Parks and Recreation and the Decorah Fire Department in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week.
Location still pending
Organizers have not yet announced the event location. The site will be determined later, pending construction in downtown Decorah.
