Elsbernd appears in the 15-year service category alongside employees from across the Iowa DOT, including staff from District 4 Materials Inspection, the Oskaloosa garage, the Design Methods Section and other divisions and facilities.
The recognition places Elsbernd among employees marking service milestones ranging from five years to 55 years. Robert Younie, District 5 engineer at the District 5 Office, was listed for 55 years of service. Other milestones included 40 years for Rondel Stephens, 35 years for Cheryl Meyer, 30 years for Harold Adcock and 25 years for Brenda Kramer.
Statewide Iowa DOT recognition
The agency’s list also recognizes employees with 20-, 10- and five-year milestones, as well as employees marking one year with the department. The honorees work in areas including construction, bridge design, traffic and safety, auditing, customer service, finance, transportation development and garage operations.
For Decorah, the announcement identifies Elsbernd’s workplace as the Iowa DOT garage, but it does not provide additional information about his position, duties or the event where the awards were presented.
