Adults with special needs in the Decorah area are invited to a free evening of music, games and community activities at the 2026 G2G Summer Celebration.
The event is scheduled for 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Whalen Cabin near Phelps Park. Decorah’s Get-2-Gether Committee and Decorah Parks and Recreation are hosting the celebration.
What participants can expect
The evening will include music, games, Culver’s Custard and Mabes Pizza. Volunteers from the Luther College soccer teams will help provide support during the event.
The celebration is offered at no cost to participants. According to the event announcement, G2G volunteers are able to provide the gatherings for free through sponsorships and community donations.
Registration deadline
Participants should register by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. The registration deadline is intended to give volunteers time to plan for the event.
